Glamping at Westgate River Ranch

I hope you’re all having a wonderful week. I recently got back from a fun weekend at Westgate River Ranch & Rodeo in Central Florida. Yes, you heard right! There is a glamping place just one hour away from Orlando, how amazing is that?
Allow me to give you a bit of background, River Ranch was first built in the 1960s and has developed into the largest dude ranch east of the Mississippi. It lies on 1,700 acres overlooking the beautiful Kissimmee River and cattle lands.
The hubby and I were so excited to be invited to experience for the first time Glamping in our own teepee. Not having been to a lot of teepee hotels in the past, this one certainly has to be on your bucketlist. These new Luxe Teepee accommodations were just top of the line. We unleashed our inner cowboy and cowgirl and truly felt like we were part of a Western movie. We never imagined such a beautiful place existed in Florida. If you are looking for an alternative to the theme parks, then Westgate River Ranch is a must. Aside from their luxurious accommodations, Westgate River Ranch offers a variety of activities such as horseback riding, airboat and swamp buggy rides, trap & skeet shooting with archery, petting farm, pony rides, and so much more that are perfect for all ages to enjoy. One of my favorites was line dancing at the River Ranch Saloon and you can’t miss Saturday Night Rodeo.
LUXE TEEPEE
The Luxe Teepees at Westgate River Ranch Resort are very spacious and comfortable. They sleep up to 4 guests as they have 1 king bed and 1 full sleeper sofa. Each teepee has their own full size bathroom with a bathtub and shower and the best part is their super tech toilet with its own remote control. Every teepee includes a portable air conditioning and heater. To make it cozier, there is a fireplace that separates the living room from the bedroom, keeping both areas private from each other. The decor is just the perfect western theme. The teepees range from $450 a night and they include many benefits. The Luxe Teepee offers complementary breakfast, your own golf cart to explore the ranch freely, a personal Glamping concierge (they are wonderful and very helpful with all your needs). The staff makes sure the campfire is lit every night allowing you to enjoy the peaceful surroundings as well as some yummy s’mores! If you’ve never tried glamping, then I can assure you it’s a one-of-a-kind experience! I promise you will love it as much as we did and you won’t want to leave this place.

What to do in Westgate River Ranch.
River ranch offers so many recreational activities for you and your family. Remember Westgate River ranch is all about making your vacation an experience of a lifetime. Here are activities that you can find in the ranch:
Adventure Park- Offers their guest rock climbing, bungee jumping, mechanical bull, zip lines, bounce house, and miniature golf.
Airboat and Swamp Buggy rides- Get ready to enjoy the day riding around the wildlife. You will definitely have a wild ride.
Horseback Riding- Explore the many trails of Westgate River Ranch horseback riding or take ridding lessons.
Petting Farm and Pony rides- Enjoy a family day at the petting farm with the cutest baby goats, calves, pigs, sheep, and many more.
Trap & Skeet range and Archery- This one was very exciting to me. It was my first time trying it and definitely tested my aiming skills and was quite impressed ;). River Ranch provides you with all the equipment you need.
Rodeo- Want to have a fun night? You can’t miss the rodeo, as you will definitely experience a one of a kind show. The rodeo show is very interactive, be ready as your child might be called to participate in the show ;).
River Ranch Saloon- End your night here!! Make sure to bring your dancing boots and your cowboy hat for a fun night line dancing. You will enjoy the live music alongside a full bar. It will sure be a night to remember.
Dinning Experience
No need to leave River Ranch as they have a wide variety of dinning options:
The General Store & Deli- You can find grocery necessities. Starbucks coffee, pizza and subs are served.
Westgate Smokehouse grill- Offers full buffet breakfast and a diverse menu that features steak, seafood, salads, and chicken. Everything is so yummy.
Dinner Hayride- Get to experience a tractor-pulled hayride. This tour will allow you to see deers, eagles,, and many other animals in their natural habitat while being entertain by a cowboy. You will also be able to enjoy a delicious cookout buffet at the East Corral.
Overall, my stay was more than I could have ever imagined. Thank you Westgate River Ranch & Rodeo for the amazing time and memories I will treasure forever. Part of the one of a kind experience was due to the amazing personnel, everybody was so friendly and helpful that I truly believe you enter as a friend but you leave as family.
